The place can fit 6 people (2 in 2 bedrooms and 2 in the living room). It's very cheap for place close to Banff, which is around 15 mins away.

Liked the space and pet friendly; green space behind building was nice. The beds were comfortable and infloor heat was nice.

The pool water was cold and the pool room was freezing. There is no way any child (or adult) could use this amenity. It was one of the main reasons we stayed at Inn of the Rockies. We do not have an indoor pool where we live and we go out of our way to stay at hotels with pools for our children to enjoy; we were not able to do this on this trip and it was VERY disappointing. Paper towels are desperately needed in the kitchen and a floor mat at the backdoor! And housekeep lacks consistency of amenities between units; for example not enough towels, toilet paper or kleenex. The building maintenance on the exterior is a huge concern, the water is not draining away from the building correctly and there are huge ice build ups on the front steps and along the sidewalks making it difficult to walk around the premises safely. I would think in the summer during rain storm it would be hard to get into your unit without getting shower due to the eves troughs not working.

Having a condo, the price, and location. The staff were great.

The furniture could be updated as the couch uncomfortable & well warn. The beds could be softer with a nice duvet cover. The hot tub working would have been nice & the pool side temperature warmer so the pool could be used. Some coffee/tea/spices would be helpful.

    Price and location

Not comfortable Hot tub broken Pool freezing cold Dishes dirty

We look for accommodations with a kitchen, so we can make our own meals and keep snack foods on hand. The kitchen was great, except the frying pans were of poor quality, otherwise enough equipment to make most anything. The separate bedrooms, each with their own TV made it possible to catch a couple of shows at the same time. Most of the time we visited in an open living, dining and kitchen area. Everyone felt they had lots of room to move. Great location, close to skiing, shopping, hot springs, etc. We will be back.

  • Older travelers

Upstairs / downstairs condo gave us space and cooking options. Price was better than other options when we were booking late. it was out of Canmore downtown and quieter.

While our condo was spotless, we have to assume the facility is poorly maintained in general. We had a significant water drip in the bathroom, so loud and 1/second that we had to keep the bathroom door shut at night. How much water does that waste, boys and girls? The AC filters had clearly not been cleaned (ever?) and had half an inch of black lint/dirt stuff which we didn't want to breath. We cleaned them. The check-in manager said a back door to the exercise facility would be open 24/7 because a manager is on site 9am-9pm. The door was always locked. The check-out person said the other was mistaken. Get it right folks, these are pretty simple things to manage properly.

  • Older travelers

My husband and I stayed with his parents at the Inn and there was lots of room for the 4 of us. Lots of space for togetherness and for some privacy

  • Older travelers

Not so much a hotel room...more a house! Two stories, big lounge and kitchen ( fully equipped) two bedrooms. Washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, central heating and aircon. All brand new, including carpets etc. Nice pool and sauna. Most importantly, less than two minutes from Banff National Park. Great value at twice the price.

  • Older travelers

very comfortable, close to town and banff.

no sign in front, which was a little confusing

  • Family with children

The accommodation is ideal for anybody with a young family - we have a one year old daughter and having the extra bedroom allowed us to relax in the evening which is something we cannot do in a hotel. The cleanliness of the rooms was excellent and the additional facilities (washer/dryer, television in each room and DVD player) made in a home away from home. The Inn of the Rockies Management was very friendly and accommodating especially Paul who made us all feel very welcome. Bonfires each evening with a few beers and good banter added to the experience. Long term resident Blaine is always happy to talk, tell some stories and share a beer. He may even cook you a steak if you ask nicely...

WIFI only available in the reception area and not in the appartments... however thinking about it who wants to be checking emails with so much else to do!

  • Couple

Hot tub was not working, still in the middle of renod, work out room stuff not set up completely .

  • Family with children

Nice place over all. Rooms doesnt appear to be scary. The manager who i think is the owner- very nice and friendly.

No WI FI Pool too small No paper towells available Towels doesn't change everyday. No blow dryer. Should have own bbq in each rooms / facilities available for privacy

  • Family with children

Condo style accomodations. Well supplied. Especially liked having a washer/dryer en suite !!!! Very quiet - very comfortable accomodations.

No WiFi in the room :o( But they are doing extensive renovations - so maybe that will come in time !! :o)

  • Family with children

Everything!..The rooms were clean, nice set up with the livingroom, dining area and kitchen all on the main floor and the two bedrooms and washer and dryer upstairs. We had an awesome view of the mountains from our bedroom window..it was quiet and the pool and weight room was a bonus..Paul and Martin (who manage the lodge) were excellent ...very friendly and helpful..it was close to downtown Canmore and Banff...would definitely stay there again and recommend it to our friends

  • Group of friends

It's a suite, not a hotel room. It comes all ready for relaxation. Close to Canmore, but definitely quiet and away.

I would have liked the room cleaned (bedding, towels). We stayed for three days and did not get any fresh linen or towels.
